Today, we had a delightful customer visit us. It turns out that a customer who had a pre-facelift Delica D:5 installed at an event held at Hikari Auto in October 2015, when TDI Co., Ltd. first visited Japan, came to our store ๐คฉ
They are apparently trading up to a Delica D:5 that underwent a major facelift in January of this year, and their request was for a vehicle trade-in. When I looked under the hood, I found a CRTD2 from an older model ๐
Me: "Huh, when was this installed?"
Customer: "At that Hikari Auto event where the foreigners came."
Me: "Oh, nostalgic! Is that so! That was over 10 years ago!"
Customer: "That's right. It was installed back then and ran smoothly for 10 years without any problems, so I thought I'd have it reprogrammed for the new Delica that's going to be delivered."
Me: "10 years without trouble, that's wonderful to hear. However, I'm sorry, but the CRTD2 has been discontinued and you'll have to buy a new one."
Customer: "Is that so? Then I'll buy a new one."
It's truly gratifying that they've used it with such care ๐
Feeling nostalgic, I'll share some photos from that time.

It seems there are no Delica D:5s in England, and I remember Steve, who loves skiing and snowboarding, was very interested in the Delica on his first visit to Japan โท๏ธ
